"Our family of seven used this home for exploring and hiking Yosemite. This home is clean, has comfortable furnishings, and a great view of the lake! The kitchen appears to be well furnished but we only ate a light breakfast here before leaving early each morning. On the fourth day of our stay we ate lunch at the Country Club, rented a sailboat and enjoyed the beach in this gated community. It was"

"The good, bad, and ugly. My comments are based on the cost vs. value exchange. First Pine Mountain Lake is the hidden gem very few know about. The location on the water is good and in a private cove. The assortment of games/ ping pong/pool provides good entertainment. The kitchen had all the tools and even supplied propane. The bad is we may have been the first rental of the season, and we had to replace 4 light bulbs (the lights in the living room and kitchen are inadequate) the GFI reset in the garage (once you found it) did not work, the grill was dirty, and the large deck (recently upgraded!) and furniture covers were not cleaned before arrival. The driveway down to the home is steeper than Filmore Street in SF with a scary turn and decent. The upstairs air conditioning did not cool properly compared with the rest of the home. The ugly. Two items: despite incurring a substantial cleaning fee, the checklist for leaving the property essentially asked the guest to do ALL the cleaning, garbage, and dishes except for the linens/sheets. Second, I was confirmed twice by Red Awning, paid for a pet, denied by Yosemite Region Resorts, then submitted ESA paperwork, and again denied as they were no longer allowing ESAs. This was due to confusion about the terms/conditions of Red Awning vs. Yosemite Resorts. Overall this was a good experience. Fix these the issues mentioned, install a few upgrades, provide better pricing, and we may rent for a week."

"This was a last minute trip on our way to spend Thanksgiving with family. The property is a cozy older home, but clean with comfy beds, and perfect spot near Yosemite. It’s about 30 minutes to the gate and 1 hour from the Valley, but ann easy drive. Our family of 4, including 2 teenagers, loved our stay. We had plenty of room with 2 bedrooms downstairs, a huge loft space, and 2 bathrooms. Groveland is a cute town. Mar Vals was a great grocery store where we were to get everything we needed. We had dinner at the Iron Door Saloon and Two Pies Pizza Guys, and grabbed coffee and pastries at Top of the Trail Tea and Coffee. We would definitely stay here again."
