The daily buffet was excellent. The hotel is beautiful and the pool areas were beautiful. I loved that it was an adult resort. All.the staff were friendly and attentive. The restaurants were ok and i didnt need a reservation. They dont provide a shuttle to the airport so we had to pay $80 to the airport. That was a bummer. But over all, I like the resort and you had access to.the other 2 Riu resorts too.

My stay at the RIU wasn’t long but it was everything it needed to be. Staff is friendly and attentive but not too overbearing. If you’re not a Spanish speaker it’s not a problem they’re very good at communicating with you. They don’t offer free transportation from the airport to the hotel so be aware of that. The rooms were clean and our balcony view was very nice my only complaint is our room was next to their electrical boxes and it was slightly too loud. The hotel is new and not outdated at all and they are always up keeping the grounds. The restaurants on the property were very easy to get into for dinner (you can’t make reservations it’s first come first serve) We tried the steakhouse and meat was a little bland and we waited for our food for a while but overall you can’t complain. Food at the property was surprisingly good for an all inclusive but some food items weren’t the best. The pool layout is slightly awkward and wasn’t my favorite but the view to the ocean is perfect. DRINKS!! Honestly they were all very light I recommend taking shots the whole trip or asking for an extra shot on the side of your mixed drink. Book your excursions with the people on the beach! Way cheaper and they offer more options don’t listen to the people that try to defer you, the salesmen are nice people just trying to make a living and their prices are always negotiable.Loved how close the hotel was to the nightlife all Ubers under 10.Definitely would stay at the RIU again if I go to Cabo.

First, I want to start with the positives. The customer service was great. The resort manager, Cesar, was excellent and tried to make the stay pleasurable. Our room was decent and clean. Refrain from being deceived by the pictures. The Marketing for this resort has done an amazing job making the RIU look awesome. It is far from it. The food was absolutely terrible. It was cafeteria-style and more like school food. The steakhouse was awful. The Mexican restaurant was OK. It was the best out of all choices. Everyone in the family had stomach issues by the end of the trip. I got crackers, and it was the best meal I ate at the resort. It was filthy, and the pool area lacked shade. The umbrellas were beaten up and provided no shade as they were old and worn. The cabanas were stained, and the shades were torn and worn. The noise levels were off the charts. People were so rude and loud in the hotel hallways. When the room service dishes were collected in the mornings, it sounded like pots and pans banging together. We have stayed at six different resorts in Cabo, and this one was the worst. We will never stay here again. It is unfortunate because there are a lot of small things that they could do to make it so much better. I am in property management, and the small things matter. Spend money on the pool area as everyone is there all day. The average temperature in Mexico is 82 degrees. People want shade in the summer months as it is very hot.

You get what you pay for. If you are on a budget then this is the spot for you. I guess you can call the Riu the Carnival cruise of resorts. Food was bland, very limited food options for room service, a weird towel card system, watered down alcohol… they also don’t do reservations for restaurants because it's first come first serve so you might not get to try them all. We wanted to dine at the asian restaurant but the host in the front said they were booked even though there were a lot of open seats. The staff were alright, you can tell they're just there to get paid. The only one who really made an effort for us to feel welcome was Fernando. He always made sure we were having a good time. He deserves a raise. If you want good food, service, staff, and experience then I suggest going somewhere else.

Beautiful hotel on the beach
This hotel was absolutely gorgeous and it’s right on the beach. Plenty of restaurants and bars, the food is pretty good and the Service was excellent

We love Riu and have been stayed there many many times. But this time buffet food was not like always, choices were much less than before with limited options. Food was always one of their best feature but not this time. Entertainment was not great either in the evenings compared to passed shows.
