"The hotel is really nice. It has a unique layout and is quite refreshing. The room was nice. The iPad to control all electronics was great. The iPad charger didn’t work on the second day. The staff were friendly and helpful. The automated check in/check out system was great. Biggest downfall is the surrounding area. It is dirty and there are so many vagrants around. Don’t recommend walking around too much, my son was a little scared at times. Not the hotels fault, everything they control was really nice. I would recommend the hotel to anyone staying in the downtown LA area. The hotels security is great. Just be mindful the surrounding area is not very nice. "

"The staff was very friendly. We ate at the revolving lounge and the atmosphere was nice. The only negative thing about the dining was the men's room door would shut so loudly. It was annoying to hear it while we were eating. The room was nice - great view of the city and the Hollywood sign. They do need to update the connecting on the TV in the room. "

"Room was spacious and clean. I really like the retro decor. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Being downtown I couldn’t hear much of the outside noise. Slept great! We did not eat at any of the restaurants here. Just had coffee and a danish in the morning at the cafe. Good coffee and danishes."
