The hotel has gone down hill since the last time I was here about four years ago, now. There's a lot of work that needs to be done like painting, filling holes in walls, and replacing the cabinets.
Many of the room doors need to be fitted so they close without slamming. Roaches were in two of the large suites we booked. They have humidifiers in the suites. The moisture in the air from the beach was the cause of us using the bath towels on the floor. Seemed like no matter how much we dried it up there would be pools of water througout the tiled areas of the suite. Everybody slipped and fell at least once so be careful or wear socks. Slippers will have you gliding across the floor. The rates went up but the quality went down. No smoking on the property. Smokers have to go allll the way to the other side of the hotel. The smoking area is basically as far away from hotel as they could get it and still say it's on their property. I would say, you get what you pay for but you get a bit less here.
The continental breakfast is as to be expected: cereal, packaged danishes and bagels, Jimmy Dean's packaged sausage, egg, and cheese biscuits, coffee, juice, milk. The suites have kitchens with stoves (4 burners, oven), refrigerator, toaster, microwave, coffee maker and has dishes: pots, skillet, utensils, and cookware (with wine and can opener).
The groundskeepers and cleaning staff were all really nice whenever we interacted. They seemed pleasant. The front desk attendant was polite
