Hawaii has a tropical climate with warm weather most of the year. Rarely do people experience freezing weather in the state, although the mountainous islands do get snow in the winter. Getting Around Hawaii

There are eight islands that make up the state of Hawaii, with the most populated one bearing the name Hawaii, which is nicknamed by locals "The Big Island." It also covers the most area. Visitors can take cruise ships to sail to the other islands through Norwegian Cruise Lines and Princess Cruises.
