Cheap flights to Maui

The island of Maui has plenty of sun, sand and scenic drives for visitors to explore. You can enjoy it all when you head east from the airport along state Route 360, to the black sandy beach at Wai'anapanapa State Park. The highway is known as the Road to Hana, and it will take you through the mountains. You can see more of Hawaii's scenery and beaches if you take state Route 311 south to the beaches at Makena State Park.

Getting Around

You'll experience Hawaii's pleasant weather as soon as you to fly to Maui. Part of Kahului Airport (OGG) is open to the outdoors. Buses from the airport will take you to the town of Kahului. A drive southwest from the airport along state Route 380 will take you to Maui Tropical Plantation. You can enjoy the weather while you tour the plantation by tram or walk through its gardens.

Hints and Tips

You can shop, eat and learn about Maui's history when you take state Route 30 south and west to the town of Lahaina. You can buy gifts, souvenirs and clothing in the town's shops. Take a break from shopping to have fresh seafood at one of the acclaimed restaurants such as Kimo’s, while you enjoy a view of the water. Visit the Whaling Village Museum to learn about Maui's history.
