I stayed in the Deluxe Ocean View room, and the view was very nice. The views around the hotel and the location overall were beautiful, & I really liked the hotel’s concept. I enjoyed walking around the property & taking part in the activities & events, like the family-friendly karaoke at the bar area. The staff members were all very friendly & offered to help when I mentioned the room wasn’t very clean. I also appreciated the security guards on the bridge, which made me feel a little safer. I feel bad mentioning the issues because everyone was so nice, & it’s not the staff’s fault. The bathroom was really small and stuffy, and it didn’t have a real door, just a shower-style door that didn’t lock. There were also a few cosmetic issues in the room. The breakfast buffet was okay, but I really liked the made-to-order omelet station & the toppings they offered for the ready-made pancakes & French toast. The Chevichera restaurant was pretty good, it wasn’t included, but it was very affordable. There were also 2 other restaurants that required reservations for dinner, & both were really nice with good food. The lunch & dinner buffets were just okay, but the desserts were really good. I’d also like to mention staff members Rich, Kimberly, and Gerry (or Jerry, I forgot the spelling), who were all very helpful and welcoming. There was also a lady who helped check me in and a security guard whose names I didn’t catch, but they were both wonderful as well. I think I would return.

The location and the views are 15 out of 10. The rooms are older and more cruise ship sized. Food, honestly, in the restaurant (reservations needed, get when checking in) was excellent. Buffet was small, and if you are NOT an adventurous eater and are American and not familiar with Latin foods. I said Latin as much is more Central American than traditional Mexican and not at all geared to US tastes. Drinks were great, and the entertainment was shockingly pretty good for such a small place. I will return as it was a great fit for us even though obvious improvement could be made.

The resort is beautiful it’s our second time going. We love the beach and it’s private, the staffing is very Pleasent everyone always greets you and acknowledges you. The rooms are nice this time we did ocean view and it was beautiful. The resort itself you can see some wear and tear on it, to us not a big deal, the view and the beach access makes up for any of those things that to us don’t matter. The entertainment team they are all very friendly and get people to get involved with whatever activities they are doing and do a great job. We were disappointed that the cevicheria was not included anymore in the price of the resort you had to pay if you are not a member, or expensive but I didn’t like that. The food at the ceviches is delicious and for the price you are paying it should be included. Other than that my husband and I had an amazing time we celebrated our 15 year anniversary.

The most beautiful beach in Mexico. The staff is always friendly and helpful. This was our second stay at Mia reef. They were more than accommodating. If you are looking for an all inclusive resort, this is the way to go.

Where do I start from? Supposedly is low season but the hotel room was $400 a night: I wonder how much is for the high season… Definitely you can see the hotel was in a low season mode: short of staff, parts of the resort closed such as the beauty saloon or open 1 day yes one day no like the Italian and Mexican restaurants, dead plants in a vase in the corridors etc etc. The all inclusive was one of the scam that I was more upset about: another way for the hotel to make money: all inclusive didn’t allow you to eat at La chevicheria for example or to have a margarita cocktail with 1800 reposado tequila instead of the cheap staff that we’re offering such as Sauza tequila ($16 at the liquor store for the full bottle): drink’s poorly made in a very dirty condition: dirty surroundings and dirty hands: bartender was picking his nose and than touch ingredients that goes in your drink or moving furniture around without cleaning their hands afterwards : disgusting.(by the way I have a video w The hotel has 3 restaurants: Italian - Mexican and chevicheria. Towel expirence : 4 people talking amount each other and me standing there waiting for them to finish talking. Beach service experience: you can order a drink but you cannot order food: you need to go yourself to get food from the buffet… excuse me what? Only 1 server on duty that try to ask me for money in exchange of food service: again what kind of service are you offering for $400 a night? Prior that we made a reservation to

We travel regularly multiple times a year to the area and every all inclusive resort has been great. However, this resort lacks many items. The rooms are a upper scale motel 6 quality, the smell is not pleasant, the food options are slim to none. They claim 3 restraunts but that is not the case. We have never switched rooms before but we had to request different rooms. We went with 2 other couples that had to moved also. The view is the only good thing about the resort. We love the island itself and have traveled to the island numerous times. If we ever stay on the island again it will be at secrets. This is far from a luxury all inclusive resort. Other than breakfast having a decent omelet we preferred to eat every meal out on the street over the 1 restaurant and small buffet. If this would of been my only all inclusive I have ever stayed at I would never try one again.

I love the lagoon and the staff was nothing but frist class. However, there were a few things that could be addressed. One would be that they use an oustide cleaning company to service their guests rooms. This became a little bit of an issue when there was miscommunication between these two parties. But the Mia Reef staff quickly solved the problem for us. Overall it was an amazing experience with only a few issues.

The only great thing about this property was location. The rooms are dated and need renovations. The food was average, nothing special. The wait staff were more interested in talking to each other than servicing their customers. I asked for water from three different people, and finally got it myself.The people at the front desk acted like you were bothing them, whenever you asked them anything. The bar staff was good. It was nice when the bartender remembered what you were drinking. Thanks Henry! Overall it's an ok place, but I've had much better food and service at other resorts.
