Everything was amazing ! Abi was the best host during our stay along with Santos in the restaurant area as well as Sandra in the spa area. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Highly reccomend this hotel, if you want to relax and have a peaceful gateway.

In general, Live Aqua is not what it used to be 4-5 years ago. The amenities and service have been dwindling for that long. It used to be my wife’s favorite place, we’ve been going for over 10 years. I am pretty sure this was our last time.

Staff was great, especially the gentleman making the smoothies. He was so great!! The hotel was fine - found it lacked hangout spots in the evening. The bar is very awkwardly placed, making it not very inviting. Food was fine but wished it had more Mexican options. Definitely a smaller resort, with only a small swim up bar. Rooms were nice and very clean.

We had an incredible time at Live Aqua. Our room was spacious, and we appreciated the larger balcony area. The dining options were enjoyable, and the 24-hour room service was convenient. However, we were disappointed that we could not visit the specialty restaurant MB due to a special event taking place that evening, which prevented us from entering or being placed on the waiting list. It would be helpful for the front desk to inform guests of special events at restaurants ahead of time so you can plan accordingly. We ended up dinning at Carnivore, which was good but we were really looking forward to dining at mb. Our concierge, Viridiana, took care of us and got us a discount at Carnivore for the inconvenience which was greatly appreciated. She did an excellent job taking care of our requests and answering all our questions. We would like to express our gratitude to Marcelo at Varenna, Eduardo at Hidden Garden, and Viridiana for going above and beyond to make our stay relaxing and memorable. One negative aspect to mention is the vacation club presentation. If you are not interested, it is best to decline it upfront. We found it to be a waste of time. If you're interested in siging up, I suggest you read the contract throughly before you sign. They make it sound like it's super easy to cancel the membership, however the language in the contract implies a firm term and there no cancelation rights in the contract.

We upgraded the room to ocean view. Each morning, we woke up to a spectacular Caribbean ocean view that never fails to amaze us! The room is clean and well renovated. This hotel has the best restaurants, staff are super nice and helpful! Highly recommend!

This is an excellent resort. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the room was great with a beautiful view of the Caribbean, and there were many, varied dining options with high quality food. I especially loved the stands in the garden area that served grilled ribs, chicken, hamburgers and more. Pro Tip: the drinks are poured kind of weak so ask for double shots.

We loved our stay here - the rooms are updated and modern. The ocean didn’t have any turtle grass and was beautiful. The one thing that was tricky is there weren’t that many restaurants open at night for dinner, so limited choices and wait times.
