"We had a wonderful stay at the hotel! Just wanted a little getaway for two nights. Location is perfect, right on the beach. It’s a very unique and very old style hotel. But that’s what gives it all of its charm. We felt as if we had stepped back in time. The staff was wonderful. Lauren checked us in and everyone was helpful. We had a cocktail in the lounge and Toni made us a great drink. He’s only there I think once a week. But the other bartenders look like they were very hard workers and very experienced. Ricky also waited on us. He was great! Mark always looked out for us both nights coming and going showing us how to get through the hotel from the lounge to the room. You could tell he was a dedicated and hard worker as well. Continental breakfast had a nice variety and the staff serving was very helpful . Would definitely recommend staying here if you want a unique experience and great location."

"Nice little spot on Balboa Island. Very walkable, It is in a busy but great location so if you're an extremely light sleeper this isn't the place for you. Would book again! "

"We stayed in a big rpom with 3 queens and a twin Worked perfect for our group! Large room with table snd chairs, microwave and frig. Convenient and safe. Helpful staff. Room was a little cold as we didn't know how to work the thermostat. "
