Attractions and Tips
Temple Square with its 10 acres of trees and monuments as well as the Mormon Temple, Tabernacle and Assembly Hall is definitely worth a visit. This is the where Place Heritage Park, which includes a living history museum depicting a Mormon community from the mid-19th century, is found and is also a popular tourist spot. To get even closer to nature go to Liberty Park, which spans 80 acres and is the location of the Tracy Aviary, one of the oldest in the world.
Warm clothes are recommended when visiting Salt Lake City during the winter and even in the warmer seasons temperature fluctuations can happen, so be sure to take along at least a light jacket. The most popular hotels are found in the downtown area near the entertainment and culture centers.
