Cheap flights from Buenos Aires to Puerto Iguazu
If you are traveling throughout Argentina and stop in Buenos Aires, you can take a two-hour flight to Puerto Iguazu for some hiking, trekking and zip lining in Iguazu National Park. To begin this leg of your trip, you can drive, call a taxi, book a rental car, or use a departure transfer service to transport you to the Aeroparque Internacional Jorge Newbery (AEP).
Attractions
The Puerto Iguazu Bus Station is located downtown at the corner of Av Cordoba and Av Misiones, offering departure services across the country. A bus leaves for Iguazu National Park every 15 minutes, and it takes about 20 minutes to get to Iguazu Falls in the park. Near the falls is Selva Misionera, a dense forest of 37,066 acres. Also on the way to the park are Guira Oga, a visitor-friendly animal hospital with an 80-minute tour, and Casa Ecológica de Botellas, where you will find a house, furnishings and crafts made out of packaging materials.
Hints and Tips
From Cataratas del Iguazú International Airport (IGR), you can hail a taxi, get on a bus, or arrange an airport transfer for the 20-minute ride into the center of Puerto Iguazu. Temperatures in June and July comfortably range from 52 to 73 degrees Fahrenheit. However, January to March is the best time to visit Iguazu Falls because the rainy season increases the flow of water.
