New York Red Bulls History
Since being taken over by Red Bull the time has seen some success, winning the Supporters Shield for obtaining the best Major League Soccer regular season record in the 2012-2013 season.
In 2010 the team moved to the brand new Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey with a 25,000-seat capacity. The Red Bulls have also founded a training academy which they frequently call upon to fill their roster. They also attract talented international players from all over the world.
The Red Bulls compete for the Atlantic Cup against D.C. United, which marks the team's oldest rivalry. The New England Revolution is also a big rival of New York. The Red Bulls did not win an away game at the Revolution's home venue for 12 years until 2014, when the Red Bulls clinched a 2-0 win. This further intensified this heated rivalry.
