About Theresa Caputo
Theresa Caputo is a world-renowned psychic medium and the star of "The Long Island Medium" on TLC. If you're looking to be a part of upcoming Theresa Caputo shows, you'll want to catch the Theresa Caputo tour, which is making its way to major cities across the nation.
Born June 10, 1966 in Hicksville, New York, Theresa Caputo has been seeing spirits since the age of four. Not knowing how to deal with what she was seeing, she began to suppress all her visions causing her to face debilitating anxiety. It wasn’t until her early twenties that she began to embrace her gift after her mother had set her up with a spiritual counselor. They taught her how to channel the energy through her chakras, allowing her to put what she was seeing into words. From there on out she began to help others and come into her own, accepting who she was as a person. Today Theresa still lives in Hicksville with her children and her three dogs.
Long Island Medium
In 2011 TLC reached out to Theresa offering her a reality show centered around her gift. While the show focuses primarily on Theresa helping others cope with the loss of a loved one, it also showcases her family and the adventures that they go through with having a medium as a mother. Theresa was relatively known before she became a reality star, but the show sky-rocketed her to fame. Now she does worldwide tours and books appointments years in advance for readings.
Besides her TV and tour accomplishments, Theresa Caputo has also written three books: "There's More to Life than This: Healing Messages, Remarkable Stories, and Insight from the Other Side”, "You Can't Make This Stuff Up: Life-Changing Lessons from Heaven", and “Good Grief: Heal Your Soul, Honor Your Loved Ones, and Learn to Live Again”. All three of which have appeared somewhere on the New York Times Bestseller List.
The Long Island Medium's schedule is rather hectic; in fact, she currently has over three years' worth of appointments already booked. Helping her clients, going on tour, and starring in a television show can be overwhelming, but being a medium is an experience that never turns off, so she helps as many individuals as she can.
