Early Life and Career

Bennett says he was influenced by music from Nas, Kanye West, and Twista. Bennett released his first mixtape, The Taylor Bennett Show, in late 2013, when he was just 13. The next year he released his first EP, called Freshman Year: First Semester. The EP was released as a digital stream. In 2015, he released his debut album, Broad Shoulders. But it was in 2017 when he released his third mixtape, called Restoration of an American Idol, that Bennett found his popularity.
