The princes of post-Britpop

The band originally got its start as a trio of students in 1994 at the University of Dundee in Ireland under the name Shrug. Three years later, after lineup and name changes, the band signed on with Jeepster as Snow Patrol. Their first two albums were well received by critics but failed to have any commercial success. Jeepster eventually dropped them, and the group struggled to find their way forward. In 2003, they released Final Straw, featuring hit single "Run." The record secured them a spot on tour with U2, and "Chasing Cars" went all the way to multi-platinum certification. Eyes Open was released two years later, becoming one of the best-selling albums in Ireland of all time and garnering them nominations at the Grammy Awards and the Brit Awards. Since then, the band has continued to release acclaimed and popular music, including "You're All I Have" and "Just Say Yes."
