From teen dreams to center stage
Started by three high school friends in 1994, Slightly Stoopid got its big break when Sublime singer Bradley Nowell brought them on to his label. In 1996 Slightly Stoopid released their debut album. While that first record featured punk influences, the band has roamed all over the rock genre, from the surf-flavored The Longest Barrel Ride to the reggae rock of Closer to the Sun. With an expanded lineup, the band has become festival favorite, renown for their feel-good groovin' sets. They've performed everywhere from Coachella to Lollapalooza, the New Orleans Jazz Fest to Austin City Limits. In 2012 they released Top of the World, their highest charting album at the time.
