Started in 1993 by a group of high school friends, Papa Roach paid their dues in the music industry by independently recording EPs and touring rigorously with bands like Earth, Wind & Fire and Incubus. They built a wild underground following, and in 1999 DreamWorks Records brought the band on board. Their debut album, Infest, would eventually get gilded triple-platinum. In 2001 they were nominated for the Grammy Award for Best New Artist, further cementing their status as alternative rock's newest disrupters. With their rock-star charisma and pure talent, Papa Roach has become a favorite act at festivals like Download Festival, Sonisphere Festival, and Ozzfest.
