From MySpace To World Tours

The band began in 2009 when Austin Carlile and Jaxin Hall recorded "Seven Thousand Miles for What?" in Columbus, Ohio, but wasn't until the duo moved to California that the full lineup was set. Using MySpace for distribution, the band quickly reached a million plays of their music. They attracted the attention of a label with a cover of Lady Gaga's "Poker Face," and within a year they released their debut album. Austin Carlile was replaced in 2010 after health problems and conflicts with the other members of the band, and soon after Jaxin Hall also departed. Before recording their sophomore album, Of Mice & Men reinstated Austin Carlile as their front man. Of Mice & Men's sound has been transitioning throughout their albums, from metalcore to a blend of nu metal and metalcore. The band released Defy, their fifth studio album, at the beginning of 2018. The album contains hits like "Defy", "Money", and "Vertigo".
