Nav History

Navraj Sigh Goraya was born in Toronto, Ontario in 1989 and grew up in the Rexdale neighborhood. His interest in music blossomed after his mother bought him a boombox when he was in elementary school. His uncle was a popular singer in Punjab, so Nav also had access to his studio from a young age. His beats and mashups started to become popular on SoundCloud. Eventually, one of his earliest SounCloud songs titled "Take Me Simple" had been streamed over ten million times. His help on Drake's "Back to Back" and Travis Scott's "Beibs In The Trap" garnered the attention of The Weeknd, who signed Nav to his XO Label. His release of Perfect Timing in 2017 included artists like Playboi Carti, Offset, Belly, and more. At the beginning of 2019, him and Lil Uzi Vert announced a retirement. However, Nav's manager, Amir "Cash" Esmailian, released the "Brown Boy EP" on Navs behalf. Nav followed up with an Instagram announcement saying he will be releasing his second album, Bad Habits.
