About My Fair Lady
Few Broadway tales match the sweeping story of My Fair Lady, an inspiring and whimsical story of transformation. Proclaimed by many as "the perfect musical," audiences flock to the theater to immerse themselves in the delightfully complex social scene of Edwardian London. Be there when the lights go down and the curtain comes up – get your cheap My Fair Lady tickets before they all sell out!
A classic Broadway show
The show opens on Eliza Doolittle, an impoverished young woman who sells flowers to make a living. When a man mocks her Cockney dialect, Eliza takes advantage of his bravado and confidence by demanding that he teach her to speak properly. The man, phoneticist Henry Higgins, is reluctant, but his friend and linguist Colonel Pickering urges him on by betting that Higgins will never be able to fix her accent. His pride on the line, Higgins accepts the challenge, and so begins a delightful romp through London society as Higgins, Pickering, and Eliza work together to turn her into a lady. My Fair Lady first opened on Broadway in 1956, starring Julie Andrews and Rex Harrison. The show was a smash hit and swept up six Tony Awards. Songs like "I Could Have Danced All Night," "Get Me to the Church On Time," and "The Rain in Spain" became classics, staples in every Broadway aficionado's repertoire.
Revived on Broadway in 2018, My Fair Lady is sweeping away a whole new generation of musical theater lovers. Don't miss your chance to experience the whirlwind romance of Eliza Doolittle and Henry Higgins – snag your cheap My Fair Lady tickets today!
