A collaboration with inspired beginnings
In 2011 Majid Al Maskati and Jordan Ullman hit it off after meeting at Majid's birthday party. Both were students at the University of Toronto, and soon they began collaborating together, shuffling between dorm rooms and basements as they perfected their alt R&B sound. They began uploading their music to SoundCloud, and their EP afterhours quickly caught the attention of music insiders. The duo signed onto Drake's OVO Sound label, co-producing Drake's worldwide smash hit single "Hold On, We're Going Home." In 2014 they released their first official EP, A Place Like This, followed two years later by their self-titled debut full-length record. Singles like "My Love" featuring Drake and "One I Want" featuring PartyNextDoor have Majid Jordan climbing the charts.
