An Early Start to a Long Career

Born as Kimetrius Foose on August 4, 1998 in Chambersburg, PA, Lil Skies began getting involved in music from a young age. Growing up he was surrounded by music, as his father is a hip-hop artist whose professional moniker is Dark Skies. According to his family, Foose began writing songs at the young age of four. By the time he was eleven he had witnessed his father go through the struggle of recovering from a chemical plant explosion while at work. To help cope with the recovery, the father son duo wrote the album Father-Son Talk. After graduating high school in 2016 Foose attended college for a brief period before he dropped out to pursue a career in music. It was then that he would take his father’s professional name and put a twist on it, becoming known as Lil Skies. While still enrolled at Shippensburg University, he would be the opening act for Fetty Wap at an on-campus performance. The following January he would release Alone, his first solo mixtape. After the release of singles such as “Red Roses” and “Off The Goop”, Foose gained the attention of a record label Atlantic Records who signed him to a deal. Under his record label he released the mixtape Life of a Dark Horse., which at its height reached the number ten spot on the Billboard 200 chart. With his new-found fame, Foose began touring around the country to support his music, earning himself quite the tenacious fan base.

Current Tour Schedule

It kicked off at the Wamu Theater in Seattle and wrapped up in May at the Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles. Fans in attendance were delighted with performances of the two rapper’s newest music releases.
