Jeff Horn was born on February 4, 1988 in Australia. Growing up, Horn was bullied throughout his school. To defend himself from other kids he picked up boxing, with his grandfather a retired boxer helping him along the way. In 2009 Horn had won his first Australian title, opening the floodgates for numerous future successes. In 2012 he earned himself a spot in the London Olympics representing Australia after he won his third Australian title. Despite the success he was seeing back in his home country, Horn was defeated in the Quarter-finals in London. The following year he made his professional debut in Victoria, Australia via a technical knockout. Over the course of the next four years Horn climbed his way to the top of the rankings, making a name for himself in the sport. Although he had been fighting for quite some time, his big fight did not happen until 2017 when he faced off with Manny Pacquiao in Brisbane. After a highly controversial win, Jeff Horn’s name was launched to the top of boxing news. Horn went on to defend his title against several top names in boxing. His first professional loss was to Terence Crawford in the summer of 2018, where he ended up losing to a technical knockout thus giving up his WBO welterweight title.
