On April 19, 1971, Ali Shirazinia was born in Mashad, Iran. As a young boy, Shirazinia would listen to classic hip hop, jazz and punk, all which inspired him to enter the music industry as DJ Dubfire. His early work began with DJ partner Sharam Tayebi. Together they formed Deep Dish, and became masters of the early electronic scene.

Awards and accolades
In 2002 the duo won a Grammy for remixing Dido's "Thank You," however, shortly after their success they went on to work and produce on their own. Dubfire worked to find his own sound, which he now describes as a dark, funky rhythm. His shift proved to be a very successful move for him, as he has since become one of the most famous international techno DJs with fans desperate for Dubfire tickets.
