The band was initially performing with a garage band style but has transitioned to a more polished rock sound. Their debut album, Haxel Princess, was released in 2014 and reflected this transition, which many feel is necessary for the band to move into the mainstream. Despite this transition, the band still retains a significant amount of influence from its roots. These influences rest in grunge, punk, and new wave. A History of Cherry Glazerr
The original name of Cherry Glazerr was actually Clembutt which was named for the lead singer of the group when she was just 15 years old. The band initially uploaded a few of its songs onto Soundcloud in 2012. Through this portal, the band was discovered by Sean Bohrman of Burger Records. The band started performing at a number of larger festivals in 2013 which increased their notoriety. The band released its debut album in 2014 on Burger Records, which catapulted them into the mainstream. Since then, the band has released two other albums and is going on tour this year.
