American Nightmare Give Up the Ghost is an American rock band from the Boston area. They have been active for more than 20 years with a few short years off in between. Their style in the past has been described as both hardcore punk as well as melodic hardcore. During the course of their history, they have been signed to multiple separate labels including Rise, Deathwish, Burning Heart, Equal Vision, and Bridge 9. Their current band members include Alex Garcia-Rivera, Joshua Holden, Wesley Eisold, and Brian Masek. As they have performed over the course of their career, they have been associated with a number of other big-name acts including Ten Yard Fight, Cold Cave, Panic, XO Skeletons, My Chemical Romance, and Cloak and Dagger. The popular punk band from Boston is going on tour again this year.
A History of American Nightmare Give Up the Ghost
The band was initially formed back in 1998 in the Boston, MA area. Shortly after forming, they released a self-titled extended play through their label Bridge 9 Records. This was followed by their first tour. They released a full debut album in 2001 which was well-received. This prompted their growth and musical success as they continued to record music and perform throughout the area. After this, the band disbanded in 2004. They took some time off and got back together in 2011, touring and recording music once again. Since their reunion, they have performed a number of shows across the country, much to the delight of their fans. The band will be going on tour again in 2019.
