Fifth Harmony

Ally Brooke was born as Allyson Brooke Hernandez on July 7, 1993 in San Antonio Texas. Growing up, Ally was homeschooled which allowed for her to focus more on her musical talent. In 2012 Ally Brooke auditioned for the American reality competition show The X Factor, only to be eliminated during the bootcamp round of the show. Although she was eliminated early in the competition, she was brought back on along with four other girls to form Fifth Harmony. Ultimately the girl group finished in third place and landed a record deal with Epic Records. From 2013 to 2018 Ally was a member of Fifth Harmony, releasing several record-breaking albums along the way. After performing together for six years, the band announced that they would be taking a hiatus to focus on solo projects. Bandmates Normani and Camila Cabello both went on to become mainstream performers.

Solo Career

Starting off her solo career in 2018, Ally began collaborating with several other artists in the industry including DJ-duo Lost Kings and rapper ASAP Ferg. In the Spring of 2018 Ally Brooke announced that throughout the rest of the year she would be working on her debut album, which would be released at some point in 2019. The album’s debut single “Low Key” was released in January, with the full album released later in the year. In September of 2019 Ally served as the opening act for Little Mix on his Little Mix’s LM5: The Tour.
