Down to the last minute - Among the many intense games between these teams, the one played on September 14, 2009, stands out. The Bills had managed to get an 11 point lead against the Patriots. A little more than 2 minutes remained on the clock on this opening night at the Gillette Stadium. With not much hope left, the Patriots surprised everyone as they scored a touchdown with 2:06 left on the clock. A kickoff ensued, the Bills fumbled, and the Patriots recovered to set up the winning touchdown in the final minute of the game – and the Patriots won the game 25-24.
