Hamilton follows the life of Founding Father, Alexander Hamilton. He immigrated from the West Indies and arrived to New York in 1776. After meeting numerous people such as Aaron Burr, Joh Laurens, and Marquis de Lafayette, he eventually worked closely with George Washington during the Revolutionary War. Alexander also became the new nation’s first Treasury Secretary. Through the obstacles he overcame during this time period, he also fell in love with Elizabeth Schuyler. Managing his dreams with reality was difficult, especially with maintaining his safety. Lin-Manuel Miranda was able to retell this old story through modern music and dance. Genres such as hip hop, jazz, rap, blues, and pop are incorporated with a strong infusion of culture.
