We had never been in Vancouver before and did not know how bad the surrounding area was. Plus, the pictures online were much nicer than how the real hotel turned out to be. The room was also tiny, perfect for one person, but too small for two. Staff were very friendly and helpful however. And, room and place were also very clean.
0/5 would not recommend this .
Absolutely horrible experience. Checked in to the hotel at 10:50pm. Didn’t even go into the room. Front desk was decent. I then got a call from hospital that my son had landed and would be at the hospital soon.
We are not from Vancouver area. My son was rushed to bc children’s hospital by air from 8 hours away. I booked this hotel stay in a rush and panic at 10pm. I didn’t know the hospital offered a place for myself and family to sleep. Once I got to the hospital they told me we would be able to stay with him his whole stay. I called the hotel as soon as the hospital told me. I explained the situation and they were very rude and said it’s out of their hands and they can’t issue a refund. The hotel said I needed to contact Expedia, Expedia said I need to contact the hotel. I am now out $250 for not even staying at a grungy hotel.
Terrible service. No compassion.
The pics do not do it justice. It's 100% worse. Drunks and homeless on the corner. Front door has to be locked to keep them out. No elevator. Old and outdated. Very unsafe area of town. Room was extremely small. Oh and best of all, outside my window was a big tent with a wrestling ring set up and you guessed it. Wrestling match with a large crowd screaming all night.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
It's in an unfortunate area, although I never felt unsafe.
We had a great stay!
Very cute hotel set in old style bed was really nice! STAFF AND THE FRONTdesk were amazing! The holtel has a locked door at all times and need a scan card to get in.
About 5 blocks down the road is kinda scary. But the hotel waldorf was great!
Hotel staff was very nice. Average property, pretty dated but clean. Was fine for an overnite stay. There were no 'events' at the property so noise wasn't too bad but still enough street noise to be less than restful. Area immediately around hotel is safe enough, but Vancouver has a huge homeless population between the hotel and downtown that you will want to avoid.
An older hotel refurbished and in excellent condition, spotless, comfortable bed and great shower. The person at reception was very helpful in carrying luggage up to the room (no elevator). The restaurant downstairs (ale house at night) was very convenient for the one night/morning we stayed.
He said no to my two small service dogs from america. I Didn’t bother to argue.

Noisy location with loud music, people talking until 2-3 am, traffic noise, sirens and lots of seagull squawking. All amounting to little sleep for 2 nights.
Receptionist is great and her suggestion to walk along Victoria to visit Little Italy was excellent.
