"The lobby is great with lots of areas for sitting, including near an electric fireplace. Also, on the first floor there is a fitness room with treadmills x 2, bicycles x 2, etc, a small pool, a restaurant. Favorite parts about the hotel: Large room, bathroom with large counter space, refrigerator mini and microwave in room on a large counter, LOCATION. The hotel location is great for the Bay Area in that there’s a free Emeryville shuttle called Emery-Go-Round which stops right outside hotel and takes you to BART station. It’s also great location because it’s surrounded by no less than 5 shopping centers, new and upscale right across the street. Movie theater, restaurants, groceries (Trader Joes), take out ( eg Togos and Chipotle, Burger King), etc. Would stay here again if in this area. The lobby staff varies from friendly and helpful to so-so. Great hotel experience all said. "

"What a cool hotel with a huge amount of charm and character! The location is fantastic for walking and access to dining and drinking options. The staff was very helpful, the bar drinks fantastic, and we loved the rooms! What a great hotel! Of course the neighborhood is on the edge of being a bit rough."

"I absolutely loved staying at this hotel. The people who work there are amazing and happy, they were putting up the holiday decorations. The hotel is absolutely spotless, and the hotel desk woman took time to get me the room exactly with what I wanted. I was peeling after an illness and there was everything I needed. Plus they felt really safe at the parking lot and it is quiet area. Maybe it isn't when the amusement park is going on. But every other time of the year is great. I'm so happy I stayed here. I needed to go to Santa Rosa after and by staying in Vallejo I got to drive the beautiful Sonoma county roads instead of the 101. I can't recommend this hotel enough. Don't hesitate"

"We were very comfortable in the room. There was plenty of space to unpack and plug-ins of all types needed. We appreciated the eco-friendliness and the dog-friendliness of the hotel. We had breakfast at the Boathouse twice and enjoyed our choices and the service. We have recommended the DoubleTree to friends already!"
