"The hotel is absolutely beautiful and very convenient as we could walk less than five minutes from the train station. The staff were exceptional and very helpful. The hotel is beautiful inside and the huge bonus is that they also have a onsen which was welcoming at the end of each day. Breakfast was delicious and you could rent a motorized assisted bicycle for ¥500 for an hour or ¥1000 for three hours… it was amazing to do this and explore the city on the bikes. A big thank you to all the staff."

"The hotel is pretty much next to the JR terminal and bus station, super convenient. Yet, it is very quiet inside the unit, we never got woken up by street noises. We enjoyed our stay very much, our unit was quite spacious and beds were comfortable. We loved having the kitchen where we prepared a few delicious meals; although the kitchen can be stocked with more utensils, bowls, pots, etc. The laundry unit seems brand new, super helpful to be able to do our laundries inside (except it took awhile to dry the clothes.) Also, enjoyed the daily onsen at their partnered hotel nearby, just wished that it was next door. We will definitely recommend the Residence Hotel to others and will stay here again if we're visiting Takayama! "
