Upon arrival we paid nearly $1600 for a penthouse, ocean front view. Our room even had a hot tub. What we didn’t expect was our room to appear as crappy as it was. There was broken trim on the tv stand, there was a blood stain on one of the pillow cases, there was stains all throughout the fitted sheets. Dirty counter and mini fridge. The room was poorly lit, there were dirty hand prints on the walls and above the hot tub, dents in the door, and the ceiling was discolored as if people had been smoking. Overall the hotel looked very outdated. They have automatic air fresheners throughout the hotel that give off a similar smell to a nursing home. Inadequate parking. We had to park in an alternative parking lot 3 blocks away, which was very inconvenient and should not have been the case, considering the price for the hotel rental. Not only was our room terrible, our service was terrible! After talking to the front desk attendant to see if we could get a refund, we were told that since we had checked in for our stay we couldn’t get A refund, but if we would have decided we wanted a refund before seeing the room and checking in, we would have just still had to pay, but for the first night only. However, they did switch us to a room that was slightly better. In all honesty, the only good thing that this hotel offers is the view of the ocean and the fact it’s on the boardwalk. For the price we paid this hotel should be up to date! I recommend looking into other hotels before booking
