Paid for a balcony room didn’t get a balcony room. Was reimbursed for the extra fee. I paid for the balcony asked to have the room cleaned because it was too dirty when I arrived and the housekeeping refused to clean it. I highly advise nobody to waste their money and book there. Management) did nothing to try to accommodate or make things right very very upset and disappointed.

The check-in process takes way too long, room not ready by 4pm check-in time, and the staff say they “call you” when the room is ready but don’t wait on the call - it’s not coming! The drug deals outside of the hotel are unsettling to witness and the homeless people around the property are rough. The Wednesday evening reception is the best thing about the stay - food staff really try but they’re overwhelmed and understaffed for the amount of people staying at the hotel.

While there we had no one come clean, take trash out etc. I kept calling housekeeping to get extra towels because it was was 4 of us and they wouldn’t answer the phone. Tried front desk and they too wouldn’t answer the phone. I had to walk down the hall and track down an employee to help me get towels.

The staff were very helpful with early checkin, and storing our luggage on our last day. They were very attentive and wanted to make sure we had an enjoyable stay. The property is an easy walk to the French Quarter and has multiple bus routes and a streetcar line right in front of the hotel. The room was really large with a desk, couch and had a full size fridge. Small pool and fitness rooms. Excellent breakfast with a huge buffet. Highly recommended.

The hotel looks great from the outside and the front lobby seems kept up with. The room was not. The couch was dirty and the bathroom looked a bit run down.

The room was good except for the toilet. It did not flush properly the whole time I was there. When I tried reporting it to management the calls were not answered for more than 2 days. The breakfast was great. The location was good and close to everything.

We arrived to the hotel for the check in and it was overbooked so they sent us to another hotel for night. We had to sleep one night in a room which was impossible due to some noise. We asked to be changed and we were told not possible as the other hotel was fully booked. The next day we got the room in the Homewood hotel and they did not even ask about our previous night. The service was not great, breakfast is not great. Food quality not great. The room was fine though. It was first time on this hotel and it will be the last one

For a dated hotel, it was worth the price!! The staff was the best!!! From the valet staff, to the concierge, to the front desk team, cleaning staff, and the breakfast staff…the people were GREAT!!! They made the stay worth every penny. I look forward to going back and hopefully some renovations will have been made. The hotel is due some updates and upgrades. Hopefully, the staff is and will be properly compensated for their value as to keep them on payroll. The staff goes above and beyond and those are skills that you cannot teach.
