I think there should be more amenities since it is a resort. I was expecting a hot tub and more things to do on the property. Other than that, the food was great and the staff were all amazing and very welcoming!

I was disappointed in our stay at the Riu Palace. I am NOT a picky traveler but I feel that this place has been misrepresented and people need to know. Our room was extremely dirty and very outdated. It honestly looked like there was mold on the bathroom ceiling. The rooms were very run down- not a 4.5/5 star experience! Our TV did not work and our room smelled so musty! We actually threw our slippers away and never got under the bed sheets. We stayed on the first floor and were woken up by the house cleaning staff every morning at 7am slamming doors and yelling/laughing with each other. Lewis at the front desk was very sweet trying to help us change hotels but Expedia wouldn't let us. Thank you Lewis for all of your time and kindness! Honestly if it wasn't for the RIU Entertainment staff I would give this hotel a 0/10. I have to give a special shout out to Dinero, Genius, String Bean and ALL of the RIU entertainment guys were SO much fun we loved them! Happy to have them as a bright spot on a not so pleasant vacation. Until this resort is renovated, I would not recommend staying here.

This is our second time at the Riu Palace Jamaica, but I think we'll either go back to the Hyatt or try another resort. For a comparable price other resorts look better. The Riu was nice. But on the last full day of our visit, the dancing got a bit out of hand: ie., twerking to a point of virtual sex. Made us feel a bit uncomfortable especially when the Riu staff is going around recruiting people to join in. Anyway, the pool and pool bar is where we spent most of our time and it was all good. The food is good, but not great. The beach is okay, but not the white-sand, scenic type of beach you might expect in a tropical resort.

The options to visit the other countries two properties was a bonus. Entertainment could be improved as well as the temperature of the hot foods
