The atmosphere of the lobby is nice. The concept of Yotel is modern and cool. However, several things about our stay diminished how much we were able to enjoy the property. First, we are not from a big city, so when we stay at hotels, we are not accustomed to being required to pay for a valet for our car with no other options. The valet was 55/night. When it comes to our room itself there were several things that were disappointing. Immediately upon arrival, the room was quite dirty. Literal, visible dirt on the floors. The glass on the shower/bathroom walls was smudged, dirty, and clearly not cleaned. The chrome fixtures in the bathroom were also visibly dirty. The bed was the only thing (thank god) that was very clean. The bed was comfortable. For a “modern” hotel, you’d think the tv would have smart capabilities. Nope. We have stayed in numerous places over the last five years, from OBX, McKinney TX, and more, all of which included this amenity. Not a huge deal, but surprising. Also, the listing for this property on Expedia says the rooms are “sound proof.” I found this initially very interesting because I have never seen a quality such as this even mentioned on a hotel’s page. What’s hilarious is that while being the only hotel to brag about its rooms’ sound proofing capabilities, this was by far the noisiest and most unnerving stay we have had due to our neighbors. Our immediate neighbors were partying, screaming, blasting music. Disappointing stay :(

We were able to get an early check in which was very helpful since we needed to nap. However when we got into the room, the bed was very dirty with some kind of liquid on the bedspread. I called downstairs to request another- upon taking it off, there was a huge red stain on the sheets. Front desk workers seemed unbothered by this. So we waited about 45 minutes for the sheets to be changed before we could sleep. Difficult to leave at 11am on the elevators- waited about 20 minutes. Ended up walking down 8 flights of stairs.

It’s the perfect little getaway. We went to 4 restaurants and hopped around on Day 1. We are only bummed not to have a coffee machine in the room :( Otherwise Perfect. I love the ability the bed has to rise up for sitting and my husband doesn’t. Haha. Enjoying TV without kids!!

The room was great but the parking situation was different because you have to park in a parking garage but at least one was right across the street and another down the street
