The Langham Melb
The best pillows and comfy beds. Perfect location and only minutes away by foot to Flinders St. It’s always super quiet in the rooms, never hearing noise from neighbouring rooms. It’s our favourite place to stay when in Melbourne.

Excellent location with easy access to city but away from the noise. Super comfortable bed and pillow. Clean, but somewhat dated, bathroom. Breakfast too expensive for the variety of food.

The property was absolutely great! Amazing location and amenities. Breakfast was unbelievable and do many choices! But booking through Expedia was not a good decision. There was no room upgrade. We were offered 32$ credit for drinks. That was for all four persons under the booking. No one informed us of that at check in and had to ask for it. Even one cocktail at the bar was higher priced. There are thousands of bars right outside with much better service, drink/food prices, and much better quality of drinks. The front desk could not upgrade or change the room type as this was not a “direct” booking. We had a room with a view of building opposite and could not even open the curtains. Nothing “VIP” about this and if anything you are constantly reminded of “I am so sorry - this is third party Expedia booking”. Date changes and amendment are a challenge. Next time do yourself a favor- book this hotel because it is great but do it directly at their site.

First time
My partner and I visit Melbourne twice a year this time round we opted to try out the Langham. When we checked in th conversation with the receptionist was straight to the point no real warm welcome or explanation about amenities were we travelling on business or pleasure. Very little interaction from staff in general in regards to basic good morning afternoon evening. The only staff that really smiled and took the time to enter conversation was house keeping.

This hotel needs a revamp. The rooms, even suites are so outdated and things break. Alos, the staff are largely unfriendly and give poor service
