Liked: Cleanliness, amenities
We stayed at the Lakeland Hotel for 2 nights, including half board. Both the Dinner and Breakfast were amazing, with great presentation and variety. The service was good, and the Hotel shuttle to the local station made it much easier for us to visit Mount Fuji.
Amazing service and beautiful view of the lake! Will come here again! Thank you!

Disliked: Staff & service, amenities
Room is dilapidated. Bed is practically in the bathroom. The view of Mt Fuji is obscured by a multitude of wires and the staff has no idea what they are doing. Super disappointed.

Great location . Very good service and all staff very courteous and efficient on their job . Excellent food presentation and delicious experience . Highly recommended for a great Japanese experience.
Excellent Western Japanese Hotel in a quiet part on the shores of lake Kawaguchi. If you come with a car, parking is very convenient. Our room was spacious and clean with part tatami mats. it had had nice view of the lake while from an observation deck we had an excellent view of Mt. Fuji. The hotel offers excellent meals at a reasonable price. We also enjoyed every afternoon the hot bath facilities. Staff was friendly and very helpful when we asked for advice.
The staff is amazingly friendly! We had a great stay at this traditional hotel. Older hotel but very clean! The views are incredible from the room and the park across the street is amazing! The best part of this all was the dining experience for dinner AND breakfast. Traditional Japanese meals with so many yummy things to try!
We stayed for 2 nights in late September (family of 3). The hotel is right on the lake, with beautiful views of Mt.Fuji from the roof top, and we had that same view from our room - it was spectacular! We had half board (breakfast and dinner) and the food and sevice were excellent. Onsen was an amazing experience - it was the first time for us and we loved it! That said, property could use some updates (for instance, our private bath was a bit outdated but it didn't bother us). Don't excpect super modern hotel, because that's not what Lakeland is. It is very charming and traditional. We enjoyed our stay very much and would stay again.
Beautiful views of Lake Kawaguchiko. We were even lucky enough to have about a 12 hour cloudless(of 72) window to see Mt Fuji. Dining is strange. Three of our six meals were served in a windowless cubicle, when there were tables available in a large dining room with windows everwhere.
Wonderful, friendly and helpful staff.
