"I spent 4 nights at the Oceanview Inn between Christmas and New Years Eve, and found the staff to be extremely friendly. The property is located along a walking/bike path that connects to the Crescent Harbor and the lighthouse (with Sea Quake Brewery along the way). And even though the property is located along Hwy 101, from my room on the back side, looking out at the harbor’s jetty protected ingress/egress point, I could not hear cars at all. Just seals and fog horns when the conditions warranted. The property is very clean and the breakfast consisted of bagels/toast, cereal, yogurt, fruit, juice and coffee/latte/espresso machine. Nice property and I would stay there again."

"This is a charming place to stay. Note that the building is old - built from redwoods and insulated with redwood sawdust - so you can hear everything. I slept with earplugs and over-ear headphones playing soft music and had an excellent night sleep - best of my trip. Somehow they have managed to have beds that are very soft, but it also didn’t mess up my back. It does take a moment to adjust to this property, the rooms are cozy (small), as is the bathroom and shower. I was traveling alone. If I were with another person I would book a bigger room. The staff is delightful, as is the lobby. Lots of books and games and places to sit and look at the river. Loved the music that was playing in the lobby in the evening. Not many dining options nearby, I drove into Cresent City for dinner and had a delightful meal at SeaQuake Brewery. "
