First night there the hotbtub was cold & did not work. Numerous guests besides myself reported it to the staff. 4 day i stayed & the tub still WAS NOT REPAIRED!!! Very disappointed with the lack of attention to maintain & keep guests happy. I paid alot of money to stay here for a convention & will let people know on social media to NOT STAY here. The staff was really accommodating and nice. Especially the staff at the pool. Nead and Pete on staff were very nice and recommended some yummy places to eat. The hotel was close by many shops and by the beach. The hotel itself has a ABC store, coffee shop and a shaved ice place super convenient if you did not rent a car. The Luau had yummy food and the show was amazing. The hotel room could use some updating and the bathrooms were small. Overall it was a wonderful stay for our family with small kids.

Our experience at this resort in Kona was deeply disappointing and far from what we expected. The service left much to be desired, with staff often appearing unhelpful and unwilling to provide basic information about the resort's amenities or policies, such as parking procedures. It wasn’t just our group that experienced this; other guests expressed similar frustrations during our stay. The lack of warmth or hospitality made it clear that guest satisfaction was not a priority. The cleanliness of our accommodations was subpar, with several maintenance issues, including a broken shower, detracting from our comfort. The dining options were also concerning, as we experienced adverse reactions after eating at the resort's restaurants. The overall environment was noisy and chaotic, compounded by loud cruise ships passing by early in the morning, which disrupted any chance for a peaceful start to the day. Additionally, the concierge services did not meet expectations, often providing vague or insufficient information about local activities. We later discovered that many of these experiences could be booked independently with much greater clarity and ease. For families or anyone seeking a relaxing and accommodating getaway, I would recommend considering other options. Our stay here was far from the tranquil experience we had hoped for.

Overpriced hotel. Staff are kind and professional but the hotel is setup for near zero room cleaning. They’ll offer a ‘tidy up’ every 2 days only. Location is great which is what you’re paying for, in the heart of Kona and right on the beach. On site parking is really expensive. Gym has been upgraded and is nice. Good pool. Great luau but can attend without staying there.

Beautiful view, but surprising lack of basics
Average stay at beachfront hotel with private cove. Hawaii is gorgeous. The hotel is okay. For the price point I would have expected same day cleaning service, an included breakfast, etc. Maybe it is a function of shipping costs to the island but much of the gym equipment and bathroom functions (at least on our floor) are >10 years old, but at least clean. There are several rental options for recreation on the water included on the premise but you can probably find cheaper options in town, down the road from where the Ironman starts. Overall, the beachfront view is incredible but the actual things not included is pretty surprising compared to the BnB’s we stayed with at other points on the island who each made an effort to provide excellent service which was superior to the hotel.
