We stayed 2 separate nights at this hotel. Our room the 2nd night was significantly larger and nicer than the first night. Obviously this is a downtown hotel, and so some of the rooms are quite small and your view may be the building directly beside through steel bars. But the rooms were clean, modern, well laid out and the beds and pillows were comfortable.
We were initially confused about the parking situation, as the self parking options are across the street from the hotel, so you have to drag your luggage from the parkade to the hotel. Like most downtown areas, this area does have a significant homeless population, so be watchful for ‘puddles’ when dragging your luggage down the street. There is a valet option but we did not realize until afterwards so we didn’t use it.
We had the breakfast at the hotel cafe both mornings and while the food was good, the service was quite slow and mistakes were made on our order.
We chose this hotel because of its close proximity to Minute Maid Park to watch the Houston Astros. It is within walking distance, but again, watch for puddles on your walk back if it’s an evening game. Overall, good downtown hotel.
