There was a cockroach the first night in the room I was scared. The breakfast was so-so. Very cheap bacon, nasty burritos but good waffles!! The front desk workers were cool and nice so I appreciate that.

Aiden is a beautifully maintained, clean, and affordable hotel in a convenient central location. We loved the custom wallpaper with Austin music luminaries. We chose Aiden mainly because of the central location free parking. Unfortunately, the traffic noise was a bit much for our comfort--nothing extreme, just a personal preference. Other than that, we would recommend this Austin-themed hotel!

Solid choice near downtown and South Congress
I was looking for an affordable hotel near downtown Austin that offered free parking, and this hotel met that criteria. My room was spacious, comfortable, and mostly clean. The front desk workers were friendly and helpful, and the free breakfast was better than most discount hotel ones -- it offered hot options and plenty of room to sit in the restaurant attached to the hotel. This restaurant is also a good option for lunch or dinner (but is not directly associated with the hotel despite being attached). My few minor complaints: I did have to kill a roach in my shower (but I suspect it came inside from the rain). When I told workers about this, they were very responsive and made a note of it in case others complained. The shower pressure was just okay, and the push/pull to change from bath to shower faucet was a little tough to operate. The hallways were also a bit musty. Aside from those issues, I was very happy with my stay and would not hesitate to stay here again on a future visit if the price is right again.
