Great staff and good customer service in general. The grounds of the hotel is kept nicely, mainly the back where the pool and children area locates. It could be more inviting with pool chairs and umbrellas. The front was uninviting, a very frightful disable access and steep step access.
We expected better from this well known hotel brand and disappointed that the standard was not maintained in Douala. We were expecting the hotel to be of a higher standard due to location and brand. The whole place is tired and in need of general repairs. We narrowly escaped the door facia falling on our heads as we leave the bedroom, what a joke. On our return, it was just stuck back on, waiting for the next unsuspecting customer. The shower did not work well, too much hot water waste from a broken shower. The toilet rocks about when seated on and never flush properly. Shabby finish around the shower cubicle, smashed toilet door from the soft close. Poor bathroom lighting. Mosquito invasion in the bedroom and the hotel lobby was at war with the critters. Just could not relax there or have a drink with the threat of been eaten alive. Breakfast ran out and flies enjoyed the meal equally. We slept at the hotel, but 3 days into our stay, we enjoy other hotels with better facilities, food, drink and relaxation. The hotel is in a very good location but this will not help in the future if poor standard is maintained. I hope not to book with your service again.
