Loved our stay here. It is in the middle of so many things that can be easily walked to. The pool was very nice. Hotel was under construction so I can’t wait to see what it looks like when it’s finished!

I have never stayed at the Van Zandt before, but I will from now on when traveling to Austin. Great location, walkable to my convention. Close to restaurants and bars. I loved checking out Rainey street literally around the corner. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel restaurant had great options. The pool was relaxing with plenty of spots to sit and soak up the sun. It’s a 10/10.

Unique property that is very dog friendly. During the Hurricane in July in Houston we drove to Austin for a few days. We were very happy with the room, location and that they were within walking distance to a park where we could walk out dog. Will definitely stay there when we are in Austin

One word—-People. Valet was very cheery . Front desk, woman, inviting, the cat in the coffee shop who also works at Geraldine’s was an absolute refreshing person interact with, his eyes are all over the place, asking people if they needed help finding Interesting places to go to. Saturday night, What appeared to be the lead bartender, solid beard, making mad, cocktails, and engaging with everybody, at all levels, made the experience, kept my water full 24 seven which is extremely important, as he did with everybody. At that point, I decided , when I’m coming to see cake at Moody amphitheatre in September , I’ll be bringing my crew to the Van Zandt…..

Great place to stay. Fantastic customer service. Loved my stay!! The only complaints I have are the bathroom doors in my hotel room. Mine did not have a handle to easily close and open, and the door itself to the bathroom was heavy. I almost broke a couple nails tried to pull the door to close. Also, the shower is not fully enclosed so a lot of water splashing onto the floors outside the shower.
