See the natural beauty of Ha Long Bay with 4 days in the scenic UNESCO World Heritage Site. Admire the grand limestone karsts, take a kayak or bamboo boat to visit fantastic caves, explore the lush scenery of Cat Ba National Forest, and learn about traditional life at a local pearl farm.
Day 1: A transfer from Noi Bai International Airport brings you to your hotel in Hanoi. From here, you can explore Vietnam's capital at your leisure, discover the local cuisine, and rest up for the next day's journey.
Day 2: A ride from your hotel brings you to the marina at Tuan Chau, on the western side of Ha Long Bay. Enjoy complimentary drinks at a private lounge before you check in to your cabin for your cruise. Have lunch on board as the cruise takes you through the floating fishing farm of Hoa Cuong. Stop at Me Cung Grotto for a tour that takes you up rugged stone stairs to see a great lake surrounded by mountains.
After a visit to Bright Cave, you can go for a swim, visit the local tunnel caves by kayak or bamboo boat, or just relax with fantastic views of the sunset. Get a chance to learn how to make spring rolls and mix fish sauce, after which you can watch a film in the outdoor bar, try squid fishing, and dine on some cooked squid before you turn in for the night at the sleeping area.
Day 3: Start the day with a Tai Chi class on the sundeck before breakfast, and then transfer to a sightseeing boat for a trip to Cat Ba Island on the southeastern edge of the bay. When you arrive at the Viet Hai pier, take a bicycle trip along the village path, through rainforests, and past rice fields to reach a local village. Visit a traditional bamboo house and take a short trek into the heart of Cat Ba National Forest.
After you cycle back to your cruise for an onboard lunch, you can go kayaking in the gentle waves around Three-Peach Islet or swim in the emerald waters before you cruise back to the anchorage area. Once the sun sets, you can join another cooking demonstration and enjoy the night.
Day 4: After breakfast, visit an exclusive floating house in the Rang Dua area, one of few such houses remaining after the traditional floating village was relocated to the mainland. Learn about the food, culture, and local pearl farm before the cruise takes you back to Tuan Chau.
After one last onboard lunch, disembark at the Tuan Chau Marina for the ride back to Hanoi.
