Attractions and Tips
To get the best views of the city, take the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway. You can reach the summit of Table Mountain in a little under five minutes, and from there you can take in the city from all around the observation area.
Head to the Clifton Beaches to take advantage of the water located nearby. Chairs and umbrellas are available to rent to enhance your time on the sand. Remember in the wintertime the temperature of the water drops drastically.
It is interesting to note that winter runs from the beginning of June to August and tends to bring about cold fronts from the ocean as well as precipitation. Summer lasts from about December to March and is dry and warm. There tends to be a peak in the heat around February and March because of the Berg Wind that runs through the area.
