Cheap flights from Louisville to Orlando
Take either I-65 or I-264 to the airport, as it rests at the intersection of these freeways. Once you arrive, park in one of the many onsite lots and head to your terminal. You'll hardly have time for an in-flight snack, as flight duration is generally two hours. Upon landing at Orlando International (MCO), pick up a rental car and hop on 417 to get to Orlando proper.
Attractions and Tips
Orlando is known for two things: the warm Florida weather and theme parks. You'll have many amusement parks from which to select, so be choosey. If you're traveling with older children, or you're a massive Harry Potter Fan, visit Universal's Islands of Adventure and check out the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. If you're traveling with younger kids, or you're a wannabe Mousketeer, visit Walt Disney World. If you're a movie lover, visit Universal Orlando Resort. After you're done theme-parking, cram in some learning with a stop at the John F. Kennedy Space Center, Gatorland and the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art.
If you want to walk to shops and restaurants, stay in South Eola. For a neighborhood with a safe, residential feel, stay in East Central Park. Orlando is warm year-round, so you can safely visit any time. If you are bothered by the heat, you will likely enjoy a spring or fall visit better than a summer one.
