Attractions and Tips
Riyadh, capital of Saudi Arabia, has cultural sites such as the National Museum, the Kingdom Centre Tower and the King Abdulaziz Historical Center. Visit the Al Faisaliyah and Granada Centers and the Riyadh Gallery Mall for shopping and food. You can see horse races at the Equestrian Club of Riyadh or take in the historical sites of the Masmak Citadel and the city ruins of Old Dir'aiyah. Around 50 miles south of Riyadh is Al-Kharj, which has the Al Karj Zoo and Hodaithi Mall.
The climate of Riyadh is warm and dry, with temperatures above 50 degrees all year round. While you don't have to worry about rain, be prepared for very hot temperatures of over 100 degrees if your trip is in the summer months. A popular area for travelers to stay in the city is the Al-Hada district, which has many hotels and businesses.
