Cheap flights from New York to San Antonio

Located in the southern portion of the borough of Queens, New York John F Kennedy International (JFK) airport is easily reached by car (I-678 is best, though you can take the Belt Parkway), subway or bus. Typical flight times are three-and-a-half hours to San Antonio International (SAT). Downtown San Antonio is 10 miles via Highway 281 from the airport and there are public transportation options available.

Attractions and tips

Home of the Alamo, San Antonio has much to offer. Visitors can take a walk along the Paseo del Rio riverbank with its cafes, bars and trendy restaurants, or go to any of the city's five original missions put up by the Spanish way back in the day. The Mission San Jose is the only one of these that stands alone; the other four are located in the San Antonio Mission Park, a nine-mile stretch of greenery and historical conservation efforts.

San Antonio's hotels are mostly found around the Paseo del Rio area, though some can be found around the U of T San Antonio campus. In either case, visitors can look forward to a pleasant green environment, as although Texas' climate is hot and humid all year round, it can get wet and rainy in winter.
