Cheap flights from Austin (AUS) to Las Vegas (LAS)

Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) is situated in the south-eastern part of Austin, Texas. Simply take Highway 71 to access this airport or travel via public transit, bus, private car or shuttle.

Once you board your flight, it's a five-hour trip to the McCarran International Airport (LAS). After landing, grab a shuttle, bus or cab, or rent a car and take Hacienda or Tropicana Avenue to the famous Las Vegas Strip.

If you have a need for speed, head to Red Rock Canyon or Lake Mead and get behind the wheel of a Ferrari or Lamborghini at the Exotic Driving Experience.

Head back to Vegas and skydive indoors at Vegas Indoor Skydiving. High rollers can gamble at the elegant Bellagio, Caesar’s Palace or the Venetian and you can find plenty of low roller slots and tables at The Plaza, Four Queens Hotel and Casino, and the Fremont downtown.

Hints and tips

This desert town reaches temperatures in the 100s during the summer, so dress in clothes that will keep you cool. Winter temperatures dip surprisingly low, so you’ll want to bundle up if you are visiting from October or November through February or March.

As with the casinos, the expensive hotels are on the strip, with cheaper accommodations located downtown.
